Celebrating Women in Business 

As a woman-owned business ourselves, On the Books celebrates women and how far we have come in the business world and how we continue to grow and persevere. In 1972, women-owned businesses only represented 4.6% of all business, where now they represent over 42% of all U.S. Business. There were nearly 13 million women-owned businesses generating $1.9 Trillion in revenue for the U.S. in 2019 according to American Express before the pandemic hit. In the past two decades the number of women entrepreneurs has increased by 114%. Keep working ladies!

ATTN: Repaying Deferred Taxes 

If your company deferred taxes through Gusto during 2020, you’re responsible for repaying these amounts to the IRS directly!

Due Dates for Repayment for Deferred Company Taxes:
December 31st, 2021: 50% of eligible deferred amount
December 31st, 2022: the remaining amount 

Deferred Employee Taxes:

It is the employer’s responsibility to repay deferred tax amounts back to the IRS once the deferment period ends, even if they haven’t collected the taxes from their employees. The due date has been extended from April 30th, 2021 to December 31st, 2021. For more information on the process for repayment, how to check deferment, and more click here.
