OTB Assets: Carrboro Creative

Our biggest assets are our clients at On the Books. This month we are introducing Carrboro Creative, based out of Carrboro, North Carolina.

Carrboro Creative has been working with us at OTB for almost two years after being referred to us from a colleague. We were able to catch up with Creative Director, Caity Kelly, to get the rundown on what makes Carrboro Creative so special.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Carrboro Creative, it is a results-driven creative agency specializing in impactful digital experiences and brand storytelling. Their team collaborates with you to solve your business problems and accelerate your growth. What we love about Carrboro Creative is that they are a proudly women-owned business who work with other businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits to help bring their ideas and goals to life!

When we asked Caity why she started her business, she replied, “Carrboro Creative was founded with a strong passion for helping small businesses grow and succeed with design – especially women-owned businesses. Over time we’ve evolved to work with organizations of all sizes, but we still love having a personal touch. We spend time getting to know client’s organizations, so we can design effective brands and websites that speak to their target audience in order to help them sell.”

As a business owner, Caity understands that there are only so many hours in a day. She knew from the beginning that she wanted to spend those hours doing what would make her and Carrboro Creative the most money, which was design. When it came to out-sourcing their accounting – it was a no brainer. She believes that it is so important to have professionals help in areas that aren’t their strong suit. This is the same reason people hire them specifically for design. Sure, they could spend hours and hours trying to come up with their own mediocre product, or they can invest upfront and have things done right the first time. Caity believes by outsourcing their accounting it will save them time, money, and many headaches in the long run.

Caity expressed to us that she loves working with On the Books for several reasons. In 2016, she worked with Pam while working at a startup in Raleigh and they immediately clicked. According to Caity, Pam shattered any stereotype of “accountant” that she once had. She expressed that Pam was incredibly smart, dynamic, and a pleasure to work with. When Caity started her own company and realized Pam had started her own as well, she immediately signed up for OTB’s services. “Not only is Pam great, but she’s cultivated a talented team that I can trust to get things done right.”

We love working with Carrboro Creative and Caity too! We wanted to share with all of you the products and services that Carrboro Creative provides. Their “Business 360 Package” has everything you need to get started to take your company to the next level. They will begin by branding your business to speak to your target audience then take that brand to design an effective website that actually sells. This package is perfect for companies that might have tried to DIY their brand/website in the past and are ready to invest in their company’s growth.

Most importantly, we want you all to know that Carrboro Creative absolutely loves what they do and they know it shows with how they work with their clients. Caity and her crew love to have fun and although they might be biased, they believe they have the best job in the entire world.
